As the upcoming star, Hamish excels in competition climbing, showing a steaddy progress throughout his years on the international youth circuit. After becoming youth world champion in 2021, only a few weeks later he became vice world champion, surprising the climbing scene with his incredible performance. Even though he is focussing his time on training for the upcoming season, he proved to be an excellent sport climber, as well, quickly ticking climbs up to 9a, and getting very close on one the world's hardest routes, "La dura dura" (9b+).
