An old but new love!!

Man oh man! I have been wearing FiveFingers for years now; again and again purchasing the TrekSport model but when I was notified that they were on limited release and would most likely be taken out of Vibrams rotation, I thought I was downgrading when I purchased these due to the thin sole (thinking they would wear out in a matter of months) - I couldn't be more wrong. Let me first say I the TrekSports have EVERYTHING going for them. It has been Vibrams ultimate design, or at least I thought for me that no other FiveFinger would come close to the versatility of the TrekSport. So when I went to order the TrekSport again they were completely sold out and I was told they would not be re-stocked. I was crest-fallen. So I purchased the KSO's and OH MY GOD....I can't believe that I would love the feel of another pair of Vibrams as much as the TrekSports but now that I have a pair of the KSO's AND the TrekSports, I've noticed myself wearing these EVERYDAY, ALL DAY. So what does this all mean? I've SO found the top dog in the FiveFingers line-up! Possibly never needing to go back to the TrekSports.......MAYBE!

Longest lasting in my collection

I've had about 3 pair of vibrams and these are both the oldest and the only pair that doesn't have the big-toe seams coming apart. Perhaps there is better strength in this pair but I also have the suspicion that the size is a larger contributor. The other pairs I've gotten are my measured size (42), these I got from my dad in size 43, one larger. I do have a larger than average big-toe size so I suspect that if you go a size up you may mitigate toe seam tearing problems. Biggest downside about this particular model is that they're not nearly as comfortable to wear without socks, some of the seams and edges on the inside are more harsh than other pairs and can create rub spots (especially without socks but sometimes with socks as well).

I like my KSOs, but...

I run in my KSOs. I run on gravel, I run on dirt, I run in mud (when I can find it), I run on asphalt, I run on grass. This is my third pair of KSOs. But, after 250 to 400 miles of running the soft fabric next to my big toe tears away from the soul. Another "But", each new pair gives my a blister, never in the same place. After I find a hot spot, I wear a band aid over the spot for 30 miles or so, then the problem is gone.

SO HAPPY THESE ARE BACK!!!!

I have had a pair for close to 10 years. They are still going strong. I have wanted to replace and buy backup pair and now I can - so happy that you have brought these back!! They are a minimal shoe and the Velcro strap allows you to snug in just enough and provide that tight good feel.

Fail too fast!

Toe soles started coming off within the first month. I'm not a runner, and love the toe shoes, but after three pairs of these, I won't buy another. The fabric top also fails quickly. I purchased a pair of hemp toe shoes recently at the vibrant website. Like them, but sizing was too small and I ordered the same size as my last three pair of this model

I Love My "Gorilla Feet" Shoes!

5

I walk and sprint with these. My daughter calls them "Gorilla Feet". Some friends that I walk with call me "Toes", and we all think it's hilarious! I bought my first pair of VFF KSO in '12, and another pair in '14 after wearing out the first. My wife thinks they're weird, but I don't care (it's cheaper than a gym membership)! I am SO glad they are back in production. I hope to never run out of VFF KSO! Cheers!

Great classic

These were my first VFFs many years back, and still among my favorites. I like the sole a lot, although now after barefoot running for many years, it's a bit thick for me. (So this time I'm going to try the KSO Evos.)
