Check out our recent Q and A with Nick!
A student of movement and barefoot advocate, Nick lives in Ottawa Canada where his dayjob is as a practicing physical therapist. After taking a deeper interest in the role that feet play in optimal movement, he created The Foot Collective as a platform to spread quality foot health advice to all humans. From a sporting history in Rugby and competitive swimming, Nick now turns to kettlebells and hiking to tune his movement and maintain optimal body function. He strives to minimize his dependence on technology in an attempt to reconnect with what it means to be a human.
In his search to find the most minimal footwear, he discovered the Vibram EL-X and instantly gave away most of his other shoes. The human foot is a marvel of design and engineering and covering it with anything more than a thin layer of protection is a major source of lower body problems he sees with patients on a daily basis.
