PGA Merchandise Show

Vibram attended the PGA Merchandise show from January 22nd – 24th . There was a lot of buzz surrounding our demo day booth, and just like last year there were long lines of golfers waiting to try on Vibram FiveFingers® golf shoes . The new V-Classic and V-Classic LR, were introduced and received positive feedback all around. Cross-promoting with Callaway was a huge success . Their new Vibram soled golf shoe - the X-Cage Vibe, got a lot of attention. Being associated with Callaway, a top brand in the golf industry, is excellent recognition for the Vibram brand. Overall there was a lot of traffic, and a high level of energy at the Vibram booth throughout the show. PGA professionals most definitely understand the concept and importance of minimal footwear and barefoot training. The future for Vibram in the golf market seems to be extremely bright . ( See below some images from the show ) After a great debut at the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show – winning an award for Best New Product - Vibram FiveFingers® is back ( January 22-24, BOOTH 4572 ) to showcase its lineup of minimalist shoes, and introduce a new design specifically for golf – the V-Classic series. Last year the FiveFingers® Demo Day booth had long lines of golfers trying on the products, and they’ll be back again this year with more shoes to demo on the range. The V-Classic design features a new outsole created specifically for golf, while the upper shoe is offered in two materials – leather in the LR model, and textile in the standard Classic model. Both use a traditional lacing system for a classic golf shoe look. Golfers have been practicing and sometimes playing golf barefoot for years, contending that better feel for the ground under their feet gives them improved balance, posture and swing mechanics.
