When did you first discover FiveFingers?

I bought a used pair at an REI garage sale about 5 or 6 years ago.

Favorite pair and why:

That’s a hard pick. I think the CVT- Hemp will always be my favorite because of how low profile and comfortable they are. Tou seriously feel barefoot in them but protected and I love that. For the opposite reason, I also love the Insulated Trek Ascents because of how sturdy they feel. It’s as if you’re actually wearing a shoe but still have the versatility and grip of Fivefingers. They're also my go to when it's a little cooler outside.

What’s your passion:

Living life and sharing stories. I've always had a creative mind but I'm pretty artistically challenged so cameras have allowed me to express that creativity digitally.

How have Fivefingers changed your life (if they have!):

No life-changing miracles have occurred since I gave freedom to my toes, but life would certainly be a lot more difficult without them. They’ve been incredibly useful for me when it comes to exploring in and around water.

What's the most frequent question you get about FiveFingers?

"Are they comfortable"? The answer is YES!

What would you like to see in FiveFingers' designs in the future?

A neoprene pair specifically for cold water.

Name 3 people you most admire:

Elon Musk would be top on the list, he's got an incredible story of hard work and ) lot of failure before his successes.

Brandon Stanton, creator of the Humans of New York photo series. He risked it all to pursue a project he was passionate about and has since become insanely successful with it and changed so many lives through the community he built.

Chase Jarvis, founder of creative live, and proof that you don't need a college degree to go after your passions.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I've made it on the front page of Reddit... twice haha. Both times for stuff I filmed with my iPhone.

What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?

There are too many beautiful places in nature to pick one and they’re all so different, but two of the most beautiful places I’ve lived have been Glacier National Park and Kauai.

If you could eat only 3 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?

When I'm living out of my truck I basically eat the same thing every day and don't get too tired of it so I'll stick with breakfast burritos, chips/salsa and pork/chicken fajitas for dinner.

What’s the most courageous thing you’ve ever done?

Climbed El Cap in Yosemite.... Ok I didn't really climb the face. We used ascenders and climbed a series of ropes up the east ledges but I’ll still count it as one of the coolest things I’ve done.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?

"Don't use chasing your dreams as an excuse to not work hard." - Brandon Stanton. Advice I use as motivation when I’m feeling lazy.

What else should we know about you?

I am the least athletic out of all the Vibram ambassadors!
