Heartbroken

Ugh, I think I am going to have to return these. Pinky toe is too small, and the sides of the shoe where the plastic detailing is keeps it from conforming to my feet... I am so disappointed. I wore my bikila ls until their soles started peeling off. I love fivefingers, but I don't know now.

Ughhh, the sizing nightmare

4

So this was meant to be my second pair of Fivefingers. I was absolutely fascinated with the way they support your foot while training so it only made sense to get another pair since I love to use multiple pairs to extend the life of my shoes—but particularly my training shoes. I read all the reviews and got so worried about the sizing that I followed most reviewers' advice and ended up sizing up. BIG MISTAKE. They are so big on me that my toes slide out of their "place" during a rigorous workout. I am extremely bummed that I cannot exchange them for something that actually fits me well to workout comfortably. I went through a lot of trouble to get those shoes to me since I currently live overseas and I hate that I'm back to square one. :-(

I really wanted to like these!

1

I got these because they are super cute! I am a size 40 usually and that's what I ordered! They fit me in the foot perfectly and felt really nice on my toes, but the hard plastic reinforcement on the sides of the shoe really dig into my foot and the strap was sooooooo short I couldn't even strap it. They really hurt to walk. It was such a bummer because they are adorable. Now, I have thick ankles and somewhat chubby feet in general (genetic blessings) but my brother has long skinny feet I got him these shoes in size 44 and he loves them! They fit him perfectly and they don't dig into his foot at all, he really likes them. So if you have long skinny feet maybe it's worth a shot. If you have feet more like mine maybe not this pair of vibrams haha

Toes went on for miles.

I absolutely loved the look of the shoe! When I got the shoes onto my feet, they fit around my foot and my heel just fine but the toes were way too long! I have not had this issue so bad before. I've had quite a few different styles and occasionally the toes are a little long but never so much that I can fold 3/4 the toe over!

DONT LET THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS STEER YOU AWAY!!!

5

I was honestly almost hesitant get a pair of these because what would be my first pair of five fingers, I didn't want to hate them. Nd the reviews really made me question what I might be getting myself into. So I did what anyone in my position would do, I went to my local shop to get hands on experience with them and also get their knowledge on what fit and size I needed. They helped me tremendously!! Now it's not uncommon for men to have to get a women's size. And I greatly appreciate that vibrum didn't make the women's colors obvious. I really wanted the white and green but the shop only had the black and orangy pink in my size which I also liked. now the "cons" if you will, I really don't have any but more or less being slightly picky. But the strap could just be a tad longer. And as far as the plastic sides digging into your feet it's really just getting the laces tied just perfect. Too tight they obviously will dig in. Too loose they feel a bit , well loose on your feet. These also get a bit hot but on early what shoe during a workout doesn't make your feet hot and sweaty. Im surely not I had toe socks it might be more or less intense but since I haven't tried these on with toe socks yet i can't be certain but I would definitely love to try it out. But these shoes are amazing. I just had inner ankle surgery so my biggest concern was that the shoes were going to rub on my scar and thus making them very uncomfortable, and that was not the case whatsoever! I love the sole and how it's a little more tennis shoe sole like. Other people might not like it because they want to have a more as close to natural feeling as possible, I really don't mind. but my advice to anyone who's unsure, hit up your local shop and get their help and your own personal take on them before you buy. I'm glad I did because my shop helped a ton! I definitely want to buy another pair in the very near future

Painful

1

These were painful to put on, I didn't have enough room at the top to tie a bow with the laces like advertised, and then when I went to attempt to valcro it there wasn't enough length to get it to match up. The c cup part that is attached was lopsided and the plastic pieces dug in. I ended up putting on my spydron LS instead and took them back. I have worn VFF since 2010 and currently have 4 pairs (but I am needing a new pair to replace the spydron LS because those are starting to fall apart). I wear a size 38 in all the other 4 pairs of currently have.

Love❤

I have several different models of the Vibram Fivefinger shoes, and these are the first pair I have tried that I feel confident playing tennis in. The supportive collar, laces and Velcro allow me to adjust the fit to accommodate for a tad more support, and the soles are the most durable of any of the fivefinger shoes I have owned. I was skeptical of trying after reading the reviews, but I have not had the problems the others experienced around the ankle. If you are looking for a minimalist shoe with a more durable outer sole, give these a try. I am so thankful I did!!!

Ouch

1

I love my Vibrams. In fact, I own several pairs and literally wear them everywhere--I teach both land and aquatic exercise. I've noticed that vibram has changed their sizing--used to be able to wear a 36 but now need to get 35 and they usually go fast. When I put these shoes on, the 35 fit my feet perfectly EXCEPT the stiff collar dug into and rubbed my ankle bone. I knew after just after a few steps that I would be returning these. Vibram, please fix this issue!!!!

So happy I gave it a chance!!!

5

After reading some reviews, I was a little hesitant about replacing my KMD Sport LS with the V-Train. However, after reading their return policy, I figured I would give it a try! So happy that I went for it! I find that the sole hugs your foot perfectly and feels nice and secure on. I use it for taking a walk or in the gym and really enjoy it. Great colors as well!! Definitely suggest giving it a try!!

Nice try, but functionally unwearable

1

I was excited when vibrams came out with one for training, especially in the beautiful pale blue color. I do like the c-shaped curl slip-on like fabric and design - it allows for flexibility in width and texture. I also like the the grippy treads. And the flexible and soft fabric on the toes that allows them to flex but stay comfy. But the design made it unfunctional to wear. Here's why: There's way too much going on. There's a slip on part, shoe laces and a velcro strap. I can do without neither straps or tie-on laces. The Velcro straps dig into my ankle every time my ankle bends forward for a lunge and creates an obstacle for flexible movement. The shoelaces are just another extra step and provide decoration instead of functionality. All this and the extra plastic material on both sides cause the shoe to carry extra unnecessary weight. Let's not make a Nike/Adidas look-a-like. Here's what is needed: - light - minimalist and simplicity but functional - soft and flexible fabric around the ankle - quickly get in and out of the shoe I'm looking forward to improvements made to the next generation.
