Needed better stitching on the back loop

I wanted to love these since they felt secure on, they are a bit hard to get on but I was ok with that because it would mean they would stay on better which is their purpose since they are made for mud running, However in order to get them on you need to use the loop on the back of the heal in order to slip it on, this after three month has ripped so I woud suggest either changing the mechanism to get them on or reinforcing the loop better

Love Vibrams for Scuba Diving

I love vibrams for diving. Having your toes separated eliminates foot cramping in open heel fins, as well as helps with a more effective frog kick. I wish vibram would make a dedicated neoprene bootie for diving. I chose the Spyridon MR Elite due to its appearance of having fewer velcro straps and laces. You don't want anything irritating your foot inside a fin pocket. Unfortunately they do have a hidden set of laces. I cut the laces out and these shoes have lasted me 500+ dives. I was especially impressed with the grip the soles have on slippery, wet surfaces when walking over algae covered rocks for shore diving.

Rocky trails, here I come

Rocky trails, mountain trail races, hiking/running trails, these are great. The rock plate inside sure distributes point pressure. Other than they are so much harder to get on, I like them so much better than my earlier two versions of spyridons. Maybe because I got a size larger, this version feels better. I still like to wear my short trail gaiters over them to keep the seeds and debris totally out. Last overgrown trail run I forgot the gaiters, and was reminded why I wear them. I had seeds down inside my Vibram socks! Which fit nicely inside my spyridon's. These are kinda warm during hot weather. But if it is that hot, I will wear my kso's and be in the river, and then you can feel the difference running on the rocks and chunky gravel. I have been wearing vff's for almost everything seven years now and have more pairs than I want to admit, and still want to try more because I enjoy them so much. Have only thrown out one pair as totally trashed.
